In 2016, I developed a yoga program for neurodivergent learners and began teaching this program at The Timothy School. My mission is to help develop leisure programs within the disability community and support graduating students confidently transition into public classes.
About The Timothy School
The Timothy School is the oldest non-profit approved private school in Pennsylvania devoted exclusively to teaching students with autism.
Mission: provide students, ages five through twenty-one with the communication, social, cognitive, and life skills necessary to function as independently as possible.
Vision: empower students with autism to achieve their greatest potential in all aspects of their lives.
Goal: increase community awareness, acceptance, and support of individuals with autism.

What to Expect in Inclusive Yoga Classes
Your presence will help neurodivergent students build confidence in attending public yoga
- 4 Students and 2 teachers from The Timothy School will be participating in the yoga practice along with you and another member of the public.
- Deep breathing and gentle movement
- Students learning how to participate in a public yoga class
- Varying communication needs i.e. through iPad or sign – language
- Occasional class interruptions
- Classes that may be slightly less orderly than you are accustomed to
